ROME, N.Y. – A new coffee shop called Cream & Sugarbeets, has opened inside Sugarbeets restaurant in Rome.
The shop will offer small batch coffee and specialty drinks, using coffee from Glen Edith in Rochester.

“We did some prototyping early on, and sent out some samples to some friends and stuff. I’ve been working on my cold brew recipe for a couple years now, I’ve been brewing it for myself at home. So, I’d say the cold brew is our stand out, and the customers seem to agree with that, for sure," said Aaron Nelson, of Cream & Sugarbeets.
Opening the coffee shop was part of an extended plan by the owners to include multiple offerings at the location, and create more jobs.
Cream & Sugarbeets will be open Monday through Friday, 6 a.m. to noon, and Saturday and Sunday, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Sugarbeets restaurant opened in December of 2019, at 417 W. Dominick St.
