HERKIMER, N.Y. – Patricia Nethaway, one of two suspects charged in a murder and arson case in Little Falls, was in Herkimer County Court Friday for oral arguments.
Nethaway, 48, and 37-year-old Amber Roche are both charged with second-degree murder and arson, after a man died in an apartment fire they are accused of starting.
Both women are charged jointly, but Roche appeared separately in court earlier this week.
Herkimer County District Attorney Jeff Carpenter opposed motions to sever made by both defendants. The judge has not yet made a decision on the motions.
Nethaway and Roche were formally charged in August, after 60-year-old Timothy Regan was killed in a fire at Snyder Apartments in Little Falls on Jan. 6.
