UTICA, N.Y. – A 30-year-old man has been charged following an investigation into the sexual abuse of a teen girl in Utica.
According to the Oneida County Child Advocacy Center, the agency received a report alleging that Jesse Marshall inappropriately touched a 16-year-old girl in Utica on May 14.
When Marshall was identified as the suspect, he evaded investigators, and Utica police issued warrants for his arrest.
He was arrested by state police in Buffalo on Wednesday, June 2, and transferred to UPD to be arraigned.
Marshall has been charged with the following:
- Endangering the welfare of a child
- Third-degree sexual abuse
- Sex offender registry violation
Marshall is being held without bail at the Oneida County jail on the sex offender registry charge.
The CAC is helping the teen victim, who is also under an order of protection.
