SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) released the 2021 football schedule for all of its member schools, including Syracuse University, Thursday.
The schedule will return to a traditional format with 12 games, eight in conference and four non-conference, contingent on national, state and local health guidelines at the time of competition.
After a 1-10 season in 2020, the Orange will look to turn the page quickly, starting the year at Ohio on September 4.
Following the season opener, they will return to the Carrier Dome for a three-game homestand beginning on Sept. 11 against Rutgers and concluding on Sept. 24 with a Friday night game against Liberty.
That will be one of two Friday night games, the other coming on Oct. 15 against national runner-up and five-time reigning ACC champion Clemson at home.
Syracuse will face Rutgers, UAlbany, Liberty, Wake Forest, Clemson, Boston College, and Pittsburgh at home this coming season.
The Orange will travel to Ohio, Florida St. Virginia Tech, Louisville, and NC State.
All game times are still to be announced.
