According to former Syracuse teammate Patrick Killorin, Hall of Fame running back Floyd Little has entered hospice care.
Killorin revealed Little's cancer diagnosis publicly early this year and on Saturday night he shared this news on Facebook saying,
"Today we are going to talk about a new stage in Floyd's journey. ... Hospice. Floyd's courageous battle with a difficult disease (cancer) is now at a critical stage in his life. This is a time when a husband and wife must make important decisions regarding potential end of life decisions."
Little who is 78 years old is a three-time college All-American and went on to have a Hall of Fame career with the Denver Broncos from 1967-1975. His no. 44 jersey has been retired by both teams.
In 2011, he returned to Syracuse as special assistant to the athletic director for five years.
