SYRACUSE, N.Y. (AP) - A Syracuse man who acknowledged taking pictures in the U.S. Capitol during last week’s siege as part of a “little adventure” has been arrested on two federal misdemeanor charges.
Albert Ciarpelli was arraigned Wednesday on charges of knowingly entering or remaining in a restricted building and disorderly conduct.
The 65-year-old Ciarpelli told federal agents several days ago he entered the Capitol through a partially opened door and considered his roughly 15 minutes walking through the building and taking pictures a “little adventure.”
He eventually decided to leave. His lawyer didn't immediately return a call seeking comment.
