The Stevens-Swan Humane Society celebrates annual 'Fur Ball' fundraiser

The Stevens-Swan Humane Society celebrated their 8th annual ‘Fur Ball’ at the Yahnundasis Golf Club in New Hartford.

NEW HARTFORD -- The Stevens-Swan Humane Society celebrated their 8th annual ‘Fur Ball’ at the Yahnundasis Golf Club in New Hartford.

The event, which was held Friday evening, serves as a fundraiser for the humane society.

The ‘Fur Ball’ is one of the humane society's largest fundraiser's of the year.


Jackie Romano, of The Stevens-Swan Humane Society Board of Directors, says the organization has already raised $90,000. She says her
goal is to raise another $13,000 with the ‘Fur Ball’ fundraiser.


The Humane Society would like to use a portion of the money to replace their roof.


The Stevens-Swan Humane Society is a local organization committed to preventing abuse and neglect of animals. The ‘Fur Ball’ fundraiser will help them provide shelter and treatment for animals.


A majority of the proceeds raised goes towards helping the shelter and their mission to save animals.
