Third suspect arrested in Utica shots fired incident

Utica police have arrested a third suspect in a shots fired incident that occurred on Brinckerhoff Avenue on Feb. 5.

UTICA, N.Y. – Utica police have arrested a third suspect in a shots fired incident that occurred on Brinckerhoff Avenue on Feb. 5.

Jazzian Jenkins, 31, of Utica, is charged with criminal possession of a weapon, criminal possession of a firearm and reckless endangerment.

The shooting happened around 11:50 a.m. in the 1100 block of Brinckerhoff Avenue on Wednesday.

Two others from Utica were also arrested and charged in connection with the incident.

Kimberly Felton, 39, is facing a number of charges, including criminal possession of a controlled substance, criminal using drug paraphernalia and criminal possession of a weapon and firearm. 

Clifton Mercer, 35, was charged with criminal possession of a weapon, criminal possession of a firearm and reckless endangerment.
