ROME, N.Y. – The trial for the Rome man accused of murdering his wife in 2019 is scheduled to begin Oct. 19.
Jason D’Avolio’s trial was supposed to start in March, but was postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic.
D’Avolio is accused of killing his wife, Kerilee, and placing her body in a dumpster in July of 2019.
He was charged with second-degree murder and concealment of a human corpse, and pleaded not guilty in September of 2019.
D’Avolio is facing 25 years to life in prison.
