UTICA, N.Y. – The bench trial to determine damages in a local defamation case between former Oneida County worker, Caitlin McCann, and former county executive candidate, Dave Gordon, has concluded in state Supreme Court.
Gordon lost the defamation suit earlier this year, after making false claims about McCann during his 2019 politcal campaign.
The trial to determine damages started Monday.
According to court documents the record is now closed, and the parties have until Tuesday, June 29, to submit proposed findings of fact and conclusions of law to the court.
After that, the court will issue its final decision in writing.
