The New York State trooper who was shot while responding to a domestic dispute in Delaware County last week has been released from the hospital.
Trooper Ryan Thorp was shot in the arm at a home in Deposit around 9 p.m. on June 24, and had to undergo surgery later that night.
Thorp was met with cheers from several of his fellow troopers as he left Wilson Hospital in Johnson City Wednesday morning.
Some good news today.

Scott A. Mawhiney, 44, of Deposit, was arrested in the shooting and charged with attempted murder. He is being held in Broom County jail on no bail.
