Holland Patent, N.Y. - Two Golden Knights student-athletes have solidified their intentions to play their respective sports in college.

Holland Patent seniors Haedyn Roberts and Samantha Rachon signed National Letters of Intent to play at the NCAA Division II level.

Roberts will play basketball at Le Moyne College in Syracuse. She has been on the girls varsity basketball team at Holland Patent since she was in eighth grade where she has been selected for the Center State Conference First Team, as well as, the CSC Player of the Year.

She has also been a two-time Mohawk Valley All-Star.

Rachon is going to play soccer for Roberts Wesleyan College in Chili, N.Y., near Rochester. She is a four-year starter for the Golden Knights girls soccer team.

She was a part of the Knights team that won the sectional and regional titles in 2018, making it to the New York State Class B final. Roberts was the goalkeeper for that team.

In addition, Rachon joined the Syracuse Developmental Academy, a travel soccer team that plays the best teams across the nation. Rachon has also played on an Olympic Developmental team.

Roberts plans on studying Psychology while at Le Moyne, with the intention of joining law enforcement after school.

Rachon wants to study education at Roberts Wesleyan with the hopes of teaching children and helping the community.
