Syracuse football players selected in the 2020 NFL Draft

Defensive end Alton Robinson, punter Sterling Hofrichter and defensive lineman Kendall Cole are heading to the pros.

Syracuse football was well represented in this year's draft. 

Alton Robinson

Selected 148th overall by the Seattle Seahawks, defensive end, Alton Robinson is heading to the Pacific Northwest.

He started three years with the Orange after transferring from Northeastern Oklahoma A&M.
He finished his career at Syracuse as No. 7 on the all-time sack's list and is the fifth defensive lineman drafted out of Cuse since 2010.

Three-year starter at defensive end ... Joined the Orange during 2017 preseason camp and quickly moved into the starting lineup ... Two-time All-ACC selection, including earning second-team honors as a junior in 2018 ... Winner of Syracuse’s Tim Green Award as the team’s most outstanding defensive lineman in 2018 and 2019 ... Joined Arthur Jones (2007, 2009) and Chandler Jones (2010, 2011) as the only players in team history to win the award twice ... In 36 games (34 starts), had 115 tackles (72 solo) ... Finished his career No. 7 on Syracuse’s all-time sacks list with 19.5 and tied for No. 9 in team history with 32.5 tackles for loss ... Also recorded five forced fumbles, batted down five passes and recovered a pair of fumbles ... In 2018, teamed with Kendall Coleman to form the ACC’s No. 1 sack duo with 20 combined quarterback takedowns ... Both players had 10 sacks each ... Spent his freshman season at Northeastern Oklahoma A&M, where he was one of the top junior-college pass rushers in the country ... Recorded two sacks for the North team in the 2020 Senior Bowl ... Sterling Hofrichter

With the 288th pick in this year's draft, Syracuse punter Sterling Hofrichter has been selected by the Atlanta Falcons.

He started 49 games for the Orange from 2016 to 2019 and became the first player in team history to earn All-ACC first team honors multiple times.

Kendall Coleman

Syracuse defensive end Kendall Coleman, is signing as an undrafted free agent with his hometown team, the Indianapolis Colts making the four-year starter the first Syracuse player to sign a deal after going unselected in the NFL draft.

In 44 games (43 starts), logged 137 tackles (70 solo), 26.5 tackles for loss and 15.5 sacks to go along with two pass breakups and one blocked kick ... Two-time All-ECAC selection ... Tallied four tackles, one sack and two quarterback hits as a member of the East roster for the 2020 East-West Shrine Bowl ... Attended the 2020 NFL Scouting Combine ... 2019 Bill Horr Award winner as Syracuse's team MVP ... As a junior in 2018, Coleman and Alton Robinson formed the top sack duo in the ACC with 20 combined quarterback takedowns ... Both players had 10 sacks each ... Sean Riley

Wide reciever Sean Riley joins the New England Patriots as an undrafted free agent.

Team’s primary kickoff return man for four seasons and was a two-year starter at slot receiver ... Finished his career third all-time at Syracuse with 4,358 all-purpose yards (97 rushing, 1,265 receiving, 2,996 return) and first in all-purpose yards per play (14.6) ... Set the school records for most career kickoff returns (115) and kickoff return yards (2,433), eclipsing Qadry Ismail’s previous marks of 105 and 2,290, respectively ... Riley’s 115 kickoff returns ranked No. 3 in ACC history behind NC State’s T.J. Graham (137) and Maryland’s Torrey Smith (123) at the conclusion of 2019 and his 2,433 kickoff return yards were seventh ... Ended his career No. 10 in team history in receptions with 119 catches for 1,265 yards (10.6 avg.) and four touchdowns ... Had three 100-yard receiving games ... Led the nation in kickoff return yards as a freshman (1,095) ... School and ACC-record holder for most kickoff returns in a game (10 at Pittsburgh, 2016) and in a season (53 in 2016) ... Trishton Jackson

Wide receiver Trishton Jackson is heading to the LA Rams after being signed as an undrafted free agent.

Sat out the 2018 regular season due to NCAA transfer rules … Made his Orange debut in the Camping World Bowl versus West Virginia and caught a touchdown ... In 13 games for Syracuse from 2018-19, caught 69 passes for 1,050 yards (15.2 avg.) and 12 scores ... Averaged 80.8 receiving yards per game for the Orange and logged five 100-yard receiving games ... In 2019, set the Syracuse record for the most receiving yards by a junior in school history (1,023) ... Offensive lineman Evan Adams has signed with the Baltimore Ravens as a free agent.
