NEW YORK -- Two farms in the Mohawk Valley have received special New York State funding. The funding was given to the farms to improve their profitability.
Windy Hill Goat Dairy -- in Otsego County -- received $21,355 to buy equipment to produce higher-quality livestock forage.
Michael B's Honey Co. -- in Oneida County -- received $19,230 to purchase equipment to facilitate honey processing.
Since its launch in 2014, the New Farmers Grant Fund has now awarded $4.2 million dollars to 114 farms across the New York State.
