BREWERTON, N.Y. -- State Police were dispatched to a reported Jet Ski crash Monday evening on Oneida Lake.
The crash occurred around 7 p.m. near Three Mile Bay in Brewerton.
A 2003 Seadoo Jet Ski was operated by 54-year-old Michael Easterly, from Liverpool. He and a passenger, 31-year-old Samantha Precourt, from Syracuse, were traveling on Oneida Lake when they failed to see a bass fishing boat and struck the bow of it with their jet ski.
Neither occupant of the boat sustained any injury.
Easterly was airlifted to Upstate University Hospital and is listed in critical condition with a severe leg injury. Precourt was transported to Upstate University Hospital with leg and facial injuries.
The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
State Police were assisted at the scene by the South Bay Fire Department, Brewerton Fire Department, West Monroe Fire Department, Constantia Fire Department and North Shore Ambulance.
