UFD puts out South Utica fire quickly

The Utica Fire Department responded to a vacant house at the corner of Leslie Avenue and Claremont Terrace Monday night.

UTICA- The Utica Fire Department responded to a vacant house at the corner of Leslie Avenue and Claremont Terrace Monday night.

Utica Fire Chief Scott Ingersoll says there was flames and smoke shooting from the second story back porch.

He says the fire moved through parts of second floor, but they put it our before it reached the attic.

No injuries reported and no word on a cause.
