UTICA, N.Y. – Utica police are investigating a shooting that happened Tuesday night on Oneida Street, as well as another incident where shots were fired earlier that evening.
Around 10:50 p.m., officers were called to the 1500 block of Oneida Street, where they found a man who was shot in the pelvic area. The victim was taken to St. Elizabeth Medical Center for treatment. His injuries are not considered life-threatening, according to police.
A few hours prior, around 7 p.m., officers were also called to the 1500 block of Seymour Avenue for a report of shots fired. A woman at the scene suffered a leg injury that was initially thought to have been a gunshot, but it was later determined that she got hurt while trying to run from the area.
Police found several shell casings at the scene.
Investigators are still searching for suspects in both incidents.
