YORKVILLE, N.Y. -- Police have arrested a Utica woman suspected of robbing a local convenience store on Sunday night.
The same woman is also accused of robbing a Walgreens in the Syracuse area, with a box cutter.
Mercedez Rosado, 25, of Utica, is being charged with grand larceny, menacing, criminal possession of a weapon and robbery.
Yorkville police say she displayed scissors to an employee of Stewart's Shops on Champlin Avenue, in Yorkville.
It all happened just before 6 p.m. Sunday night. With that incident, the store was forced to closed, but has since re-opened.
She was picked up by the Utica Police Department Warrants Unit.
She is being held in the Onondaga County Justice Center. It's unclear at this point if she will be brought to Oneida County to face criminal charges.
