After a beautiful Sunday, high pressure heads out and low
pressure moves in. More cloud cover is expected on Monday with
some unsettled weather.
First a warm front moves through with warmer air. Then a cold front
approaches bringing the chance for rain and windy conditions. The good
news is that this front looks fairly weak. This means that not
everyone will see rain and the areas that do will see light and brief
showers.
Monday morning starts with partly sunny skies and temperatures in the
upper 50s to lower 60s. This is warmer than normal as a warm front
moves through overnight. Wind speeds will be around 10 mph.
The wind picks up throughout the day as a cold front approaches. By
the afternoon, wind speeds will be around 15mph, with gusts up to
30mph. This cold front will also bring more cloud cover and the chance
for a few isolated showers. They are expected to be light and brief.
Highs reach 80 degrees before this front moves through.
Monday night, the chance for rain diminishes as drier air moves in
behind this cold front. Also, cloud cover decreases overnight. Lows
only reach the lower 60s as warm air begins to be brought up from the
south. This warm air continues to be brought in through the middle of
the week with hot weather expected by Wednesday.
