HERKIMER, N.Y. – Small businesses are now able to apply for the Herkimer County Microenterprise Grant Program, which provides funds through state block grants.
The Herkimer County Industrial Development Agency will be able to award up to $35,000 to private businesses within the county. To qualify, businesses must employ fewer than five people, including the owner.
The funds from the grant can be used for inventory, machinery and equipment, or furniture and fixtures.
Businesses involving tourism, downtown locations and dairy processing will be prioritized.
