UTICA, N.Y. – Kwame Spratt, the man accused of fatally stabbing another man in Utica over the summer appeared in Oneida County Court on Friday.
A judge granted and scheduled upcoming hearings in Spratt’s case, including a wade hearing set for Nov. 15. Wade hearings are held when a motion has been filed to suppress proof of an out-of-court, police-arranged identification of the defendant. The judge will also determine the validity of statements Spratt gave to police.
Spratt is accused of stabbing three people during an altercation on Varick Street in July. Thomas Bell, 33, died from injuries suffered during the incident.
