FRANKFORT, N.Y. -- The graduating class at Utica Academy of Science held its traditional Senior Walk Tuesday.
The Class of 2019, made up of 38 students, walked down the hallways in their caps and gowns, while being cheered on by their peers and underclassmen.
A number of the students have been with the school since it opened in 2013, and they say it is sad that they will be leaving for good at the end of this month. But they feel like their hard work has really paid off.
"It was surreal in a way because it just shows really this is the end we are graduation very soon," said Amra Becirevic.
"It feels very good, it feels like all the hard work that i put into the school and my classes really paid off and that I’m getting recognized for it and people are showing appreciation for it,” said Aaron Woodman.
Graduation is June 28.
