UTICA, N.Y. - Darren Toby is back for his third season in Utica.
Utica City FC announced, Thursday, it has re-signed the defender to a deal for the upcoming season, which will be his tenth overall in professional arena soccer.
Toby is coming off his third straight All-MASL selection, earning first team and MASL Defender of the Year honors while with Utica in the 2018-19 season.
In the pandemic shortened year of 2019-20, Toby had eight points (2 G, 6 A) and 20 blocked shots in 18 games before the suspension and eventual cancellation of the season.
Toby and UCFC return to the Adirondack Bank Center for the 2021-22 home opener on Dec. 5.
A full season schedule will be released at a later date.
