UTICA, N.Y. - Defender Darren Toby will be the second player representing Utica City FC at the upcoming Major Arena Soccer League (MASL) All-Star Game in December, joining midfielder Nate Bourdeau.
Toby was announced as being named to the Eastern Conference All-Stars, Tuesday, for the game that will take place in Independence, MO, on Dec. 5.
Toby has spent the past two seasons with UCFC where he has lead the team in blocked shots both years. This past season, he blocked 20 shots while scoring two goals and registering six assists in 18 games played. He was named to the All-MASL third team.
The Trinidad and Tobago native was named the 2018-19 MASL Defender of the Year, as well as, being selected for the All-MASL first team in the 2018-19 season after blocking 37 shots, scoring eight goals and notching 10 assists in 23 games played.
Toby has played nine seasons in the MASL.
