Utica College mourns the loss of Ray Simon

The Utica College community is mourning the loss of one of its biggest contributors.

The Utica College community is mourning the loss of one of its biggest contributors. Ray Simon has died at age 102.


Simon was the founder of the Public Relations degree program at UC, which helped a number of graduates pursue their careers in journalism and public affairs.

A number of them have begun sharing their stories of his teachings and the lasting impact he had on the college.
