UTICA, N.Y. -- Utica College will be closing all residence halls effective Wednesday, March 18th at 6:00 p.m. and moving to strictly online instruction for the rest of the spring semester, according to President Laura Casamento.
In a letter to the campus community, President Casamento made the decision following the new and heightened restrictions enacted on Monday by federal, state, and local authorities.
In-person classes are suspended for the rest of the spring semester. All classes will resume in an online format on Monday, March 23, as previously communicated. UC will secure residential students’ belongings and make arrangements for students to return to campus to collect their possessions when it is safe for them to do so. Information on refunds for room and board expenses will be forthcoming.
