UTICA, N.Y. -- The Utica Food Pantry is gearing up for its "When Help Meets Hope" campaign, when turkeys are collected to give to those in need on Thanksgiving.
This is the food pantry's fifth annual drive to provide Thanksgiving meals to needy families throughout Utica.
With the Utica Food Pantry serving over 500 families a month, they're looking to distribute 500 turkeys.
Frozen turkeys can be dropped off at the Utica Fire Department, on Bleecker Street.
Anyone who wishes to make a donation can send their contribution to the Utica Food Pantry. A $20 donation will provide a turkey and all the trimmings to a family in need.
Turkeys will be distributed on Nov. 26, 2019.
