Three people have been charged in connection to the shots fired investigation on Gold Street, according to the Utica Police Department.

UPDATE: Three people have been charged in connection to the shots fired investigation on Gold Street, according to the Utica Police Department.

After responding to a shots fired call in the 100 block of Gold Street Sunday night, police executed a search warrant at a residence on Gold Street where they found three loaded handguns and a quantity of ammunition. Police say 12 people were detained and brought to the police station.

It was determined that the weapons were possessed by three different people, according to police, and they were each charged.

Chane Davis, 24, of Utica:
- Second-degree criminal possession of a weapon (Felony)
- Third-degree criminal possession of a weapon (Felony)
- Criminal possession of a firearm (Felony)

- Xavier Holliman, 19, of Utica:
- Second-degree criminal possession of a weapon (Felony)
- Third-degree criminal possession of a weapon (Felony)
- Criminal possession of a firearm (Felony)

Irnes Nadarevic, 22, of Utica:
- Second-degree criminal possession of a weapon (Felony)
- Third-degree criminal possession of a weapon (Felony)
- Criminal possession of a firearm (Felony)

Police say additional charges are expected in the shots fired investigation.

Police also continue to investigate whether or not this incident was connected to a shooting on Oneida Street two hours prior.

UTICA – The Utica Police Department is investigating a shots fired incident that occurred on Gold Street Sunday night.

Police say around 11 p.m., they responded to the 100 block of Gold Street and found evidence confirming that shots had been fired. Neighbors told NEWSChannel 2 crews at the scene that shell casings could be seen on the ground.

Police say they watched video surveillance and it appears that two groups of individuals exchanged gunfire, and then one of the individuals went into a residence on Gold Street and never left.

The residence was secured and police obtained and executed a search warrant. Police say several people were detained from inside the home and evidence was also gathered during the search.

The incident is currently under investigation, and police are also working to determine whether it’s connected to a shooting that occurred on Oneida Street just a couple hours prior.
