UTICA, N.Y. (UPDATED) – A man has died after he was shot on Brinckerhoff Avenue in Utica Wednesday night.
Utica police say the shooting happened in the 1200 block around 10:30 p.m.
The victim, 25-year-old Jamaal Jackson, was taken to St. Elizabeth Medical Center after the incident, where he ultimately died from his injuries.
"Upon arrival, they located an individual who was in critical condition at that time. He was immediately transported to St. E's. All life-saving measures were taken, but he succumbed to his injuries at the hospital," said Sgt. Mike Curley, of UPD.
