UTICA, NY - Utica Police have identified the victim of a fatal shooting early Monday morning.

Police say 17-year-old Jahzeir Johnson was shot to death on the 1400 block of City Street right around midnight.
This is the eighth homicide in the city in 2020. Police say their investigation continues.

UTICA, NY - Utica Police have released more information regarding their investigation into an overnight homicide in Utica.
Police said the shooting stemmed from a verbal argument between two groups of people. The victim, only being identified as a young male, suffered from multiple gun shot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
So far the man's name is not being released until all of the family are notified. No word on any potential suspects at this time.

UTICA, NY - A man has died after sustaining a number of gunshot wounds in Utica.
Initial calls came in Monday, around midnight, for a possible gunshot victim along the 1400 block of City Street.
Authorities arrived to find a man shot and laying in the road. According to Utica Police, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene. His name is not being released at this time until family is notified.
