UTICA, N.Y. – The Utica Public Library is building a "storywalk" in Proctor Park that will debut in May, and is looking for local writers to submit work to be featured.
The storywalk will have one side full of children’s stories, and along the other side, adult-level short stories and poems will be on display.
The library is asking local writers to send in short stories or poems to be highlighted on the adult side of the storywalk. In an effort to feature multiple authors, short stories should be no more than 15 – 20 pages. The content should also be at a PG-13 level, since families with children will walk through the park and see the stories.
Interested writers can email their name and name for publication on the storywalk, phone number, email address, and optional social media handles, to Gabrielle at: firstname.lastname@example.org.
Entries must be submitted by April 18, and the writers will be contacted directly if their work is chosen to be featured.
