UTICA, N.Y. - The Utica Roadrunners awarded four high local high school students with scholarships for college.
The four students awarded the scholarship are Fatime Adam, Eva Borton, Brynne Myers, and Joshua Farmer.
"It feels amazing, I feel like I'm different now and this scholarship will help a lot," Adam said.
The scholarships are given based on athletics, academic achievements, involvement in extra curricular activities, and a few other things.
"The scholarship really is to promote healthy living as well as to give back to the community and to the youth of the community, that are interested in running, opportunities for college," Wayne Murphy, the president of the Utica Roadrunners said.
The awards were presented at the Memorial Parkway.
