Utica Rotary now accepting internship applications

The Rotary Club of Utica is now accepting applications for internship placements and scholarships for the 2020 spring and fall semesters.

UTICA, N.Y. – The Rotary Club of Utica is now accepting applications for internship placements and scholarships for the 2020 spring and fall semesters.

Only full-time students attending local colleges are eligible. The deadline to apply is Nov. 15, 2019. The applications are accepted on rolling admission.

The Rotary places interns with local businesses and non-profit organizations across the Mohawk Valley

According to the Rotary website, internship availability is limited. Preference is given to students who will be receiving academic credit for the internship. Each internship requires a commitment of 12 hours per week minimum for 15 consecutive weeks. In addition, a volunteer community service sponsored by the Rotary is required.

A fall semester student scholarship of $2,000 is jointly co-sponsored by the Rotary Club of Utica and The Oneida County District Attorney's Office. The Fall 2019 Rotaract intern is, Peter J. Gaughan, a student at Utica College.
