UTICA, NY - The Utica Zoo is bustling with activity during the day, with people and animals scurrying about.
But have you ever wondered what the animals do after dark? Well now's your chance to find out.

The Utica Zoo is staying open after dark on select dates for what they're calling “Night Prowls”.
Zoo employees will conduct guided tours through portions of the zoo to teach zoo-goers how the nocturnal animals use their senses when the sun goes down.
Utica Zoo education manager Jim Tavares says the Night Prowls give visitors a chance to witness the animals in a whole different light.
"One of the cool things is, if we're on the north trek trail, the wolves are much calmer. For some reason they hang out, they'll sit right up next to the fence so we'll be able to see them. They're not pacing as much as they do during the day. You get a chance to see them where they're more in their natural environment."
After the tour everybody got to warm up by a campfire and roast some marshmallows.
If you're interested in joining a future Night Prowl, you can purchase your tickets online at the uticazoo.org.
Pre-registration is required.
