UTICA, N.Y. – The Utica Zoo is offering activities throughout winter break, including a Noon Year’s Eve Celebration on Dec. 31.
The celebration will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., and include crafts, animal meet and greets, bio fact stations and other activities. The event is free with zoo admission.
There will also be a ‘It’s Snowing Cats & Dogs’ holiday camp held on Dec. 30, where kids can learn about the African lions and Mexican wolves at the zoo.
On Jan. 2, there will be a ‘Rescued, Rehabilitated, Rehomed’ camp where attendees can learn more about rehabilitated animals, including the bald eagles that were rescued from the wild.
The final event, ‘Ice and Snow, Where do they go?’ will take place on Jan. 3, where zoo representatives will discuss how animals are cared for during the winter months.
