UTICA, N.Y. – The Utica Zoo will offer virtual education programs throughout January and February, to teach kids about various animals, and serve as a resource for parents and teachers.
The ‘Virtual Hatchlings’ programs are meant for kids ages 2 to 5, and will focus on one animal per weekly series.
Each session is 30 minutes long, and features songs, activities and crafts. They will be held on Thursdays at 10 a.m., on the following days:
- Jan. 14: Dazzling Dragons
- Jan. 21: Silly Squirrels
- Jan. 28: Zig-Zagging Zebras
- Feb. 4: Hooray for Hedgehogs
- Feb. 11: All about Owls
- Feb. 18: Awesome Opossums!
Sessions can be booked individually for $10 each, or as a six-week package.
