UTICA - The Mohawk Valley Chapter of the America Red Cross is helping nine people after a fire destroyed a home on Albany Street Friday morning.
Officials say the fire damaged portions of a multi-family home, leaving the residents homeless.

No word on whether there were any injuries.
The Red Cross says volunteers offered emotional support, health services and comfort kits containing personal care items.
