UTICA, N.Y. -- Funding from a $29 million housing grant will make its way to Utica. The grant will support eight projects in seven counties in the state.
A Utica housing project is getting $4.6 million from that funding.
A total of 30 apartments will be built on Broad Street.
The apartments will be for single individuals living with mental illness.
Besides shelter, the individuals will have access to services like case management, skills training and crisis intervention.
The total project cost is $19 million.
