NEW HARTFORD, N.Y. -- New Hartford Police responded to a physical domestic incident Friday evening that occurred in the area of Clintonview Blvd.
It was reported that the male suspect, Nyreek Loadholt, 23 of Utica, had been physical with the female victim around 11:49 p.m., in which he struck the victim several times in the face and choked her.
The victim was able to seek help from a neighbor who contacted the New Hartford Police.
The victim then witnessed Loadholt smash several windows from her vehicle.
Loadholt fled the scene on foot. The victim was treated at the scene for minor injuries.
With assistance from the Oneida County K9 Officer, a search for Loadholt was conducted.
Loadholt was located a short time late in the area and was taken into custody without any further incident.
Nyreek Loadholt was charged with criminal mischief, criminal obstruction of breathing, endangering the welfare of a child, petit larceny and harassment.
At the completion of the arrest processing, Loadholt was remanded to the Oneida County Jail pending arraignment.
