A Utica man has been arrested after he allegedly let a child do drugs while under his supervision, according to the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office’s Chief Deputy Joseph Lisi, director of the Oneida County Child Advocacy Center.
According to Lisi, Inv. Mark Chrysler was conducting an unrelated investigation when he learned that 46-year-old James Wrana allowed a 12-year-old female relative into his apartment. While Wrana was intoxicated and unable to supervise the child, he allowed her to do things that jeopardized her physical, mental and moral welfare, such as drug use, according to Lisi.
Wrana is charged with misdemeanor endangering the welfare of a child. He’s scheduled to appear in Utica City Court later this week.
The child has been offered counseling services through the Child Advocacy Center, and an Order of Protection has been requested as well.
