UTICA, N.Y. – A Utica man was arrested and charged Wednesday, after allegedly sexually abusing a 10-year-old girl.
Warren Abel, 24, is charged with first-degree sexual abuse, a D felony.
The Oneida County Sheriff’s Office started investigating the initial report on April 4, before turning it over to the Child Advocacy Center. It is not clear when the alleged abuse took place.
Abel was held at Utica Police Department prior to arraignment.
The victim has been offered services through the CAC, and an order of protection will be requested on her behalf.
