UTICA – A Utica man is facing charges after he allegedly had sexual contact with a child, according to the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office Chief Deputy Joseph Lisi, director of the Oneida County Child Advocacy Center.
Javel Boone, 25, is charged with misdemeanor third-degree sexual abuse and misdemeanor endangering the welfare of a child. According to Lisi, Boone allegedly had sexual contact with a child under 17 years old in the city of Utica.
Boone was arraigned in Utica City Court and sent to the Oneida County Jail on bail.
The victim has been offered services through the Child Advocacy Center.
