ROME- New York State Police out of Marcy are investigating a fatal rollover crash that happened on State Route 365 near the State Route 26 exit ramp in Rome on Saturday night.

Troopers said this happened at 11:39 p.m. They said Todd Cozza, 24, of Utica was driving a truck on Route 365 when he lost control of the vehicle and it left the road way, hit a guard rail, and rolled multiple times.

Cozza was transported to the hospital where he later died from his injuries.

There was also a 27-year-old passenger in the vehicle who was uninjured. A preliminary investigation shows Cozza was not wearing a seatbelt prior to the crash.
