Jacksonville, FL - Former Proctor High School and Utica College football standout Nick Woodman will be playing for the National Arena League (NAL) championship after his Jacksonville Sharks advanced to the title game with win in the semifinals on Wednesday.
The Sharks will face the Carolina Cobras in the championship at 7 p.m. on Saturday, August 17 at Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Arena.
Jacksonville (14-1) beat the Columbus Lions 67-43 in the semifinals for the team's 14th straight win.
Woodman had 1.5 tackles in the victory.
This is the Utica native's second season playing professional football. He played for the Jersey Flight of the American Arena League last year.
