UTICA, N.Y. – A Utica man is facing multiple gun charges after police responded to a call at a home in Cornhill Thursday night.
Around 11 p.m., officers were called to the 1600 block of Taylor Avenue after receiving reports of a domestic incident involving an armed man.
People at the scene told officers 39-year-old Brodice Lawson had a gun, and was threatening to use it.
Officers searched Lawson’s satchel and found a loaded .40 caliber semi-automatic handgun, along with narcotics.
Lawson was arrested and charged with:
- Second- and third-degree criminal possession of a weapon
- Criminal possession of a firearm
- Criminal possession of a controlled substance
Lawson is being held at Oneida County jail.
