UTICA, N.Y. – Breeze’s Banquet and Event Center is the second local venue to have its liquor license suspended in the past week.
The New York State Liquor Authority suspended Breeze’s license after the venue allegedly held a wedding Sept. 4 with more than 160 people in attendance, violating the state’s capacity restrictions. The SLA also says social distancing protocols were not followed.
Investigators say a wedding planned for Oct. 2 at Breeze’s was canceled after the suspension.
Twin Ponds in New York Mills also had its license revoked on Sept. 26 for failing to follow capacity restrictions and other mandates during an August wedding.
