UTICA, N.Y. – A Utica woman has been charged with manslaughter after police say she fatally stabbed her boyfriend at a home on Dudley Avenue just before noon Wednesday.
According to Utica police, 31-year-old Jose A. Compres-Matos and 30-year-old Natalie Sanchez-Ramirez were arguing inside 1021 Dudley Avenue when their fight turned physical. That’s when Sanchez Ramirez allegedly stabbed Compres-Matos in the upper chest.

Police were called to the home around 11:45 a.m. When officers arrived at the scene, they found Compres-Matos suffering from a stab wound at the bottom of a stairwell. He was taken to St. Elizabeth Medical Center, where he later died from his injuries.
Sanchez-Ramirez is charged with first-degree manslaughter. She is being held at the Oneida County Correctional Facility.
