VVS tops Clinton in back-and-forth affair; Whitesboro's offense catapults them back to .500 with win over CVA

VVS boys lacrosse scored seven goals in the fourth quarter to stage a comeback in a see-saw battle at home to beat Pioneer Division rival, Clinton, 16-13 on Tuesday.

Alex Oliver (3g, 2a), Travis Decker (2g, 3a), Matt Ciotti (4g) and Cade Decker (3g, 1a) lead the way for the Red Devils who improve to 7-9 on the year, 4-1 in league play.

Nick Mondore (3g, 2a) topped the Warriors offense, reaching the 100 career goals mark in the game.

Whitesboro girls lacrosse closed out their regular season at 8-8 as they dominated on both sides of the ball, beating Central Valley Academy 22-5 at Ed Wadas Athletic Complex.

Warriors all-time leading scorer, Madison Davis, continued to put up points with 12 in the game (5g, 7a). Bella Callahan (5g, 2a), Samantha DeCondo (3g, 5a), Cameron Boehlert (3g, 1a), Abbey Gerling (3g), and Meredith Dicks (2g) all had multi-point games as well.
