UTICA, N.Y. -- After a century, Reynold's Hardware on Varick Street in Utica is closing Friday.
The owners say it's been a good run, but they're ready to retire.
The location they're currently in has been open for 51 years, and before that they had a store down the street.
They sell everything from wrenches to paint brushes to mops. They say the best part about the store is its customers. And customers say, the best thing about the store is the owners.
"Everybody's always happy and more than willing to help you,” said longtime customer Albert Skermont.
"The customers. Because a lot of them are friends for this many years we know them for so long you know, most of them have been coming in forever,” owner Bob Misiaszek said.
The store is closing at 5 p.m.
