ROME- Officials with the Oneida County Sheriff's Office say they arrested the man after a traffic stop.
Deputies said Jay Mather, 37 of Rome was the passenger inside of a car they pulled over on Erie Boulevard in Rome. They said they stopped the car for not having their headlights on.
During the traffic stop, they found Mather's was in possession of metal knuckles and he was arrested without incident.
He's charged with criminal possession of a weapon in the third degree.
